Hire Terms & Conditions
These Hire Terms & Conditions apply to all hire orders placed with Boho Parasol Hut Ltd.
By placing a hire order, paying a deposit or balance, or accepting delivery of hire goods, you confirm that you have read, understood and agreed to these terms in full.
1. Ownership of Hire Goods
All hire goods remain the property of Boho Parasol Hut Ltd at all times.
2. Hire Period
The hire period commences from the time of delivery and ends upon collection of the hire goods.
3. Customer Responsibility & Care
Throughout the hire period, the customer is fully responsible for:

The safekeeping of the hire goods

Keeping the hire goods in a reasonable condition
-
Ensuring the goods are used safely and appropriately
The customer will be liable for any damage beyond reasonable wear and tear.
4. Damage, Loss & Repairs
Any damage beyond reasonable wear and tear may result in charges, including:
-
Cleaning
-
Repair
-
Refurbishment
-
Replacement (where necessary)
Charges may be deducted from the security deposit.
In the event of total loss or irreparable damage, the security deposit will be retained in full.
5. Weather & Water Exposure
Due to the nature of the products, hire goods may be exposed to moisture.
Customers are expected to:

Avoid heavy or prolonged rain where possible

Dry items thoroughly before return
Failure to return items dry and in suitable condition may result in additional charges.
6. Health, Safety & Proper Use
All hire goods must be used strictly in accordance with our Care & Safety Guide and any instructions provided. You can find our How To Use Guide here.
The customer confirms that they:

Have read and understood the Care & Safety Guide

Accept responsibility for ensuring safe use at all times
Hire goods must:
-
Be used only for their intended purpose
-
Be supervised at all times while in use
-
Be securely installed before use, including correct use of parasol bases or ground fixings
7. Wind & Unsafe Conditions
Hire goods must not be used in windy conditions.
Wind, sudden gusts, uneven ground or improper securing can cause parasols and equipment to become unstable and dangerous.
It is the customer’s responsibility to:

Monitor weather conditions
-
Close, secure or remove hire goods when conditions are unsuitable
Boho Parasol Hut Ltd accepts no responsibility for injury, loss or damage arising from use in windy or unsafe conditions.
8. Injury & Liability Disclaimer
Hire goods are used entirely at the customer’s own risk.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Boho Parasol Hut Ltd shall not be liable for any injury, loss, damage or claim arising from:

Incorrect installation or securing
-
Failure to follow care, safety or usage guidance
-
Use during unsuitable weather conditions
-
Misuse, neglect or unauthorised modification
-
Actions of third parties, guests or event attendees
The customer accepts full responsibility for the safety of all persons using or coming into contact with the hire goods during the hire period.
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability where it cannot be excluded by law.
9. Care & Safety Guide
Our Care & Safety Guide forms part of these Hire Terms & Conditions and must be followed at all times.
Failure to comply may result in:

Damage charges
-
Loss of deposit
-
Liability for injury or damage caused
10. Delivery & Collection
We will make every effort to deliver and collect hire goods on the agreed dates.
Delivery and collection times are generally between 9am and 5pm.
Boho Parasol Hut Ltd accepts no liability for delays or any costs incurred as a result.
If collection is delayed, the customer remains responsible for the safekeeping of the hire goods.
11. Charges & Payments
All hire charges are quoted per agreed hire period.
No refunds or reductions will be made once the hire period has commenced.
Deposits & Balances

A deposit confirms the hire order and is non-refundable if cancelled

The remaining balance is payable 7 days prior to the hire start date
-
Once the balance is paid, no refund will be issued (excluding the security deposit)
12. Security Deposit
The security deposit is payable 7 days prior to the hire start date.
Refunds:
-
Issued 5–10 working days after goods are returned and inspected
-
If our collection service is used, refunds are typically processed 7–12 working days after collection
Customers arranging their own return must use a tracked and insured service.
13. Access & Availability
Customers must:
-
Provide adequate access for delivery and collection
-
Ensure hire goods are available at the agreed time
We accept no responsibility if delivery or collection fails due to customer unavailability.
14. Early Returns
No refunds will be issued for hire goods returned before the agreed end date.
15. Branding
Some hire goods may be branded with our company logo and contact details.
Any attempt to remove branding will be treated as damage and charged accordingly.
16. Acceptance of Terms
Payment of any deposit, balance or hire charge constitutes full acceptance of these Hire Terms & Conditions.
17. VAT
Boho Parasol Hut Ltd is VAT registered.
